Matti Voorneveld
Sophomore Matti Voorneveld (along with her sister, junior Paula) emmigrated from Holland in December of last year due to their father’s job. Adapting to the school wasn’t too challenging and both girls found it easy to adapt to their classes.
Jose Luis
Junior Jose Luis came to the United States from Michoacan, Mexico a year ago. His family was motivated to come to the U.S. because his father already lived here. He spoke little English before coming here.
Kateryna Kulinich
Coming from Kremenchug, Ukraine, junior Kateryna Kulinich moved here in 2000 on the advice of friends who already lived in the United States. She came to America not knowing English but has adapted well.
Hasan Arslan
Senior Hasan Arslan moved here on August 5 from Turkey as a foreign exchange student as part of the “Partnership for Learning Youth Exchange and Study Program”. He is proud to be an ambassador for the Muslim religion and the Turkish culture here.
Catherine Netsvetayeva
Junior Catherine Netsvetayeva came to America from St. Petersurg, Russia in 1999 with her family. Catherine’s family thought it would be an incredible opportunity to go to the United States.
